The strategy RPG (SRPG) is my favorite genre of video game. A (well-done) SRPG will combine the excellent character development, both in terms of storytelling and gameplay, of the traditional RPG with the tactical features of a war strategy game. While I enjoy the ability to grind levels in traditional RPGs until I'm overpowered enough to annihilate my enemies with ease, I also appreciate a game where I also need to think about what my characters will do and when, either because the game is balanced such that even high levels don't guarantee victory, or because grinding isn't an option.
Originally I had two linked shrines in the SRPG genre - Bahamut Lagoon and Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade. I didn't have a separate category for SRPGs because there aren't many out there. About a month before this writing Fire Emblem Heroes came out and rekindled my love for the SRPG genre, so I've decided the SRPG shrines should have their own category. Unlike with, for instance, the cRPG section, I don't think it's really possible to develop a structured framework to fit all the shrines into, which is why I'm going to make this section really freeform - it's also why this page is titled "short introduction" as I don't have a lot to introduce. =P
That said, I'm going to try to write a storyline linking everything together because coming up with fictional storylines is something I like doing and I feel like it's been too long since I've done that. We'll see how it goes. =D
At any rate, here is the list of shrines so far:

At any rate, here is the list of shrines so far:
- Bahamut Lagoon - the story of a world in which everyone lives on floating islands called lagoons protected by Holy Dragons. Some asshole named Sauzer, Emperor of Granbelos, decides he wants to conquer the world and that's the beginning of the game.
- Fire Emblem Blazing Blade - the story of a continent named Elibe, 1000 years after humans attacked and defeated/exiled dragonkind for no reason (seriously, none). Some asshole named Nergal wants to summon dragons back into Elibe so he can absorb their life force and your army should probably put an end to that.
- Fire Emblem Awakening - the story of a peaceful nation having to defend itself against a cult trying to resurrect a demon dragon asshole who wants to destroy all life for some reason.
