I don't think I've ever reviewed a movie outside of telling my friends what I thought in regular conversation, but Captain Marvel is a somewhat special case for me. See, ever since the MCU began I've wanted a Captain Marvel (Ms. Marvel back then) movie. They announced the movie in like 2014 or something and I've been waiting ever since. Finally, Captain Marvel launched this past Friday and I actually went to see the movie by myself since my friends were unavailable this weekend. I'm seeing it again with them next weekend.
Did the movie blow me away? I have to say no. I didn't leave in shock like I did after Infinity War. I didn't leave feeling uneasy like I did after Civil War. But I had a lot of fun and I had to hold myself back from cheering out loud at the ending sequence. There were definitely some moments that took me out of the film, but the highlights outweighed those parts easily. Also, didn't you read the title? Get the hell out of here and go see the movie already. |
